  • SIMPLE JOYS OF SERVICE

STANDARD SIGNATURE SUSTENANCE- THE COMPLETO The completo is a very popular food in Chile. As a matter of fact, whole aisles at the grocery store are devoted to different varieties. We are told that a good completo is measured by the quality of mayonnaise on top. We tried one- the completo had the texture of…

  • OUR WEEK IN NUMBERS

ONE PHOTOSHOOT Our week began with a photoshoot. A photographer came to our office and took pictures of us for the new self-reliance training manuals…we think.  Honestly, we are never 100% sure what is going on here with the language barrier. TRAVEL TO CASABLANCA We worked in the…

Our group of eight senior missionaries is really in a groove now, each finding our own place in the process. We beat our…

  • COMPRAS Y COMIDAS (SHOPPING & MEALS); PROYECTOS Y PERSPECTIVA

PROYECTOS Most of this week was spent counting school kit supplies. On Monday we counted out items for 570 school kits for Friday’s Viña del Mar assembly project. On Tuesday we counted supplies for the Talca & Rancagua assembly projects. This required dragging heavy boxes out of a room and then reorganizing them into piles…

  • PFJ #1

PASSES We had a serendipitous moment on Monday. We went to the Department of Health to make sure our mobility passes were still activated. Mobility passes are the way Chile tracks covid vaccinations. The pass is required to enter restaurants and to access any public- transportation. Many missionaries have been having problems with their passes.…
