We had another busy week in the office. We received five project proposals this week. These are the two we prepared to present for approval:
Rome- Italy- Food, Clothing & Hygiene Products for People in Extreme Poverty
The Church’s funding will be used to provide necessities in Comunita Sant’Egidio’s Houses of Friendship. The Houses of Friendship are present in over 30 municipalities and 15 regions of Italy. Here those in need are given immediate response to primary needs and offered services to help them access available social services. S.Egidio also sponsors co-housing interventions (where for example a migrant is matched with an elderly person who needs help paying for utilities) using housing as a key to leverage capacities for positive change.
Sicily- Health Service for Refugees
INTERSOS was established in 2011 to address humanitarian needs related to migration in Italy. Our church donated a Mobile Medical unit a few years ago which provides the means for health care workers to travel to rural areas to provide primary health care & screening, rapid testing on infectious diseases and to teach health promotion a prevention to migrants and refugees. This project will provide medical consumables and assist with healthcare providers salaries.
On Monday evening, Elder and Sister Silvester invited us to their apartment for potato ice cream. Apparently, this is a Boise thing. It was so clever and so delicious. Hey, all our Idaho cousins, here is an idea for our next reunion!

Wiesbaden
We spent a lovely Saturday morning in Wiesbaden. It is the capital of Hesse and with its 15 thermal and mineral springs, one of the oldest spa towns in Europe. It had an elegant feel to it. First stop- the Saturday Market.

We love how they sell bunches of vegetables tied together to be used for soup.

A trolly tour took us to beautiful parks, lovely homes and other highlights around the city.

We attended an organ concert at Marktkirche. It was the perfect beginning to Holy Week. We are making a concentrated effort to celebrate Easter as a season instead of a single day, to find ways to feel the love of our Savior and to share that love with others. We know He lives!

With love, Elder & Sister Lamb (aka Ed & Debbie, Mom & Dad, Pop Pop & Tu Tu)
Sunday dinner at our apartment with the Fearsome Foursome: Lambs, Johnsons, Mullecks, and Nelsons. We are thankful for their friendship and support during our sometimes-stressful days in the office.
